FAITH AND ACTION
JAMES 2:14...WHAT DOTH IT PROFIT, MY BRETHREN, THOUGH A MAN SAY HE HATH FAITH, AND HAVE NOT WORKS? CAN FAITH SAVE HIM?
What good is it for as man to say, he has faith, if his actions do not prove it? Can faith alone save him.
Suppose there are some people that needs help of food or clothing.
What good is there in your saying to them, “God bless you. Keep warm and eat well, if you don’t give them the necessities of life?
This is how it is with faith. If it is alone and has no actions with it, then it is dead.
You may say you have faith, another have actions. Show me how you can have faith with out actions; but I would like to show you faith by my actions.
I believe there is one God the Father, and His Son and the comforter, the Holy Ghost.
You may believe there is one God which is good. The demons also believe– tremble with fear. You could be foolish by believing that there is one God, with out actions.
If you have faith without actions, it is useless. God wants faith and action in the life of the Christian.
How was Abraham put right with God. It was through his actions, when he offered his son Isaac on the altar.
Can you see? His faith and his actions worked together; his faith was made perfect through his actions.
The scripture came true that said, Abraham believed God, and because of his faith and actions, God accepted him as righteous.
God called him, His friend. So you see that a man is put right with God by what he does, and not because of his faith alone.
It was the same with the prostitute Rahab. She was put right with God because of her actions, by welcoming the Jewish messengers and helping them leave by a different road.
Just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without action is dead.
